I think that's too deep for us to be seeing significant variations like this. I think it's much more likely to be either direct changes in the chemistry or temperature of this part of the lake or secondary effects of those changes (e.g. algae blooms).Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18334773771068768209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4075524748616031851.post-5086287978247891592009-05-27T15:58:42.691-04:002009-05-27T15:58:42.691-04:00Aaron, I just took a look at the other circle usin...Aaron, I just took a look at the other circle using your method, and there is a color variation there, but it is not as concentrated and circular as the one you found. However, the sort of color variation that IS there seems unusual and I couldn't find anything quite like it in a few shots in other parts of the lake.

You may be on to something. Could the color variation just be a function of the depth of the lake?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010372335408481388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4075524748616031851.post-63289100406738600262009-05-27T11:33:33.600-04:002009-05-27T11:33:33.600-04:00cataliniuga, good point! You've covered one of them. I'm curious if you could look at the other spot to see if it's consistent.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4075524748616031851.post-17460296850823387962009-05-27T02:20:39.597-04:002009-05-27T02:20:39.597-04:00Very smart!Very smart!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17829589691478787073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4075524748616031851.post-20454706428835940232009-05-26T23:40:10.214-04:002009-05-26T23:40:10.214-04:00Nicely done.Nicely done.ssthejrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08958402850788413871noreply@blogger.com
